For removal and installation of retaining springs on such drum brakes where the brake pads are not fixed onto the anchor plate. Therefore the retaining spring will be inserted into the hook head of the tool and will be tightened by winding the handle. The installation happens by pulling the retaining spring with the tool into the correct position.
